An increase in the volume and velocity of data has spurred a need for new techniques to understand and convey its meaning.  Data visualizations are graphical means of summarizing and describing data.  This course provides participants with instructions on using Tableau to create various types of visualizations.

This Tableau Data Prep course teaches participants how to use Tableau Prep Builder, a Tableau product for data preparation. Attendees learn how to clean, shape, and analyze data correctly to gain business insights.

This course will introduce you to the basic features and functions of Tableau. It’s ideal for new to moderately experienced Tableau users. You’ll gain fundamental skills to visualize your data, use a wide variety of visual types, connect to data, create basic calculations, build interactive dashboards, share visualizations, and more!

Are you new to Tableau or have limited experience with the software? This introductory Tableau training teaches attendees the fundamentals of the tool and how to use all the basic functionality to visualize their data. Students will learn how to connect to various data sources, build basic charts, and combine those insights into a usable dashboard. Students will also learn about sharing and publishing options.

This Intermediate Tableau training is designed for students with basic experience with Tableau who are ready to take their fundamental skills to the next level. This class will put more tools in your analytical toolbox, including complex calculations, powerful interactivity, complex chart types, and ways to slice and dice your data to mine for critical insights.

This intensive, advanced Tableau training is designed to turbocharge your Tableau skills and take your analytical ability and insights to the next level.

This is an advanced course for experienced Tableau users who want to enhance their basic skills. We will do deep dives into the nine different types of filters in Tableau; various ways of creating advanced sets; advanced table calculations; dynamic, multi-level sets; level of detail expressions, custom mapping, and multi-pass table calculations.

This course will introduce you to the basic features and functions of Tableau, best practices for visualizing data based on scientific research, and a basic process for defining requisite information prior to dashboard design or creation. It’s ideal for new Tableau users or those with little or no Tableau experience. You’ll gain fundamental skills to visualize your data, use a wide variety of visual types, connect to data, create basic calculations, build interactive dashboards, share visualizations, and more!

Our Data Storytelling with Tableau training course teaches participants how to effectively navigate data to ask the right questions and define metrics, focusing on context, design, communication, and automation using Tableau. This class will include time for workshopping with your own data to make improvements and create more impactful data-driven narratives.

This Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) training course teaches attendees how to use Tableau's data visualization capabilities to find the important characteristics of a data set. Attendees learn how to create systematic methods for looking at Tableau data and then identify and extract the patterns for more insightful data analysis.

This Tableau course is designed to prepare the participant for the Tableau Desktop Specialist exam, a certification exam for intermediate Tableau users. Participants will begin the course with a pretest and spend the first three days working on basic to intermediate concepts and exercises. The final two days will be spent on more advanced topics and exam prep, which includes timed practice tests, case studies, and feedback.
