What is the Canada Job Grant?

The Canada Job Grant is a program that combines federal and provincial funding to subsidize training for employees of private and non-profit organizations.

This grant empowers businesses to provide resources for employees to enhance their skillset and advance their position and create opportunities for new employees to enter the workforce. Web Age can help your business leverage this opportunity to access high-quality training and development.

How does the Canada Job Grant Work?

Approved funding is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, and each year’s funding coincides with the government’s fiscal year of April 1 to March 31.

Unlike many other grant and subsidy programs, the Canada Job Grant is a quick and simple process to access funding when you need it.

How do I apply for a Canada Job Grant?

Each Province and Territory has its own process, so you’ll want to inquire where you live. In most parts of Canada, you can apply online, by email or regular mail, but in some places, you’ll need to apply in person.

Who can apply?

Private and non-profit organizations are eligible for application. The program is designed to improve existing skills and develop new skills for employees.

  5. Submit proof that training is complete.

There are four steps to the Canada Job Grant process. First, the employer identifies the training needs. Next comes the application process. The employee is now ready to put their new skills into action on the job.
