This course outlines the importance and benefits of promoting team communication and collaboration. It covers techniques for encouraging effective communication by employing a favorable communication style and ensuring the team benefits from team meetings. The course also introduces strategies that team leaders should implement to encourage team collaboration, team alignment, healthy competition and working with distance teams.

This course provides instruction on some of the key barriers to agreement including: deadlock, issues of trust, and stalling tactics. In this course, participants will be guided through numerous methods and strategies to effectively lead highly skilled teams by employing facilitative leadership skills along with techniques for enlisting people to a vision of success, or to simply accept their ideas. You will learn about the different types of leadership styles and when they might best be applied.
This course will cover the elements of the strategic planning process. Participants will dissect their Company’s or their Team’s mission and vision into actionable items relative to their work. They will begin identifying and applying external pressures on their projects using the Triple Constraints theory. Although participants will not be able to complete the plan in this session, they will learn the key factors to ensure that the plan aligns with their business environment.
The first half of this course introduces students to the basic theory of project management. Students will learn about Project Scope, Task Development, Work Breakdown Structure, the Triple Constraints Theory, Resource Allocation, and Financial Tracking. The second half uses Microsoft Project as a resource tool. Students will create the Project Plan, learn about Task Dependencies as well as how to create various including PERT & GANTT.

During the course a clear distinction will be made between coaching employees and other emotionally supportive disciplines like psychotherapy and counseling. Ultimately, the coach on the job identifies opportunities for their team members to take advantage o. They provide strategies to achieve stated objectives, improve performance and help align work product with corporate initiatives. Participants will learn how to have effective coaching conversations that produce results.

Beyond this text basic Management tenets are presented, discussed and applied.

In this course students will learn how to set the foundation for a High Performance Team. They will learn how to analyze projects at a high level and consider performance constraints. Students will learn the integral pieces to developing a high performing team and techniques to keep it working at a high level. They will discuss why some teams fail and explore ways that their teams can maintain a competitive edge.
