PMP Exam Prep Training

This is a preparation course for taking the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certification test. The course is fast paced with a focus on the Project Management Knowledge Areas, Project Management Process Groups and the individual processes as well as the PMI definition of Professional Responsibility. Additionally test taking logistics and techniques specific to the PMP exam can be covered. 

Objectives

After completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Understand the five process groups, ten knowledge areas and 49 processes of Project Management and how they interact.
  • Identify which processes are core processes and which are facilitating processes
  • Identify the most important inputs and outputs from the Project Management processes
  • Identify tools and techniques used in the Project Management processes
  • Understand important material relevant to the PMP exam that is not in the PMBOK Guide.
  • Learn test taking techniques which are helpful in passing the PMP exam
  • Review logistics associated to the PMP exam to relieve exam-related stress
  • Understand the importance of and suggested contents for ‘mind clumps’

Audience

Project managers interested in taking the PMP exam. 

Prerequisites

3-5 years project management experience.  


Additionally, it is suggested that all attendees complete the PMP exam requirements, as well as be approved to sit for and ready to schedule the PMP exam prior to taking this class.  


The five day course counts as your 35 hours of formal project management training, and so you will be able to register for the test after the course is done.
