WEB DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY

Web Age Solutions brings deep expertise in the area of technical design best practices, custom content development and transformational training and can work together with your team to achieve excellent results with the Web Development Academy.

The Web Development Academy curriculum includes multiple custom projects interlaced through-out classroom training. Web Age Solutions would work with your organization to build a custom tailored curriculum.

The project deliverable gets built throughout the Academy. This Academy also includes a final project that tests the learner’s ability to combine the crucial concepts needed for success to provide a deliverable similar to one expected at work. The program is shown below.

Outside of the traditional classroom training the program will also feature two custom developed projects that will be completed by the students. The project will be representative of actual applications deployed at your organization.

To further the learning opportunities an Academy Portal will be setup to allow collaboration between the instructors the mentors and the students. Beyond the Academy portal providing a place to share thoughts and ideas the instructor will also post relevant industry information furthering the education of the students of the Academy.

Students will be assessed at various “checkpoints” throughout the program to ensure that they are grasping the keys concepts and investing the time required to master the skills of the program. While the instructor, mentors and management are committed to the success of each student participating in the Academy it is the student’s responsibility to put in the effort required to master the various technologies taught.

After every “away from class” week, the instructor will provide an individual evaluation of the students to your company. This evaluation will be aligned to the success criterion agreed upon between your organization and Web Age Solutions. The evaluation will reflect:

  • How well the students performed during the instructor-led training and the student’s engagement level. This will be subjective as well as be based on post-class tests.
  • How well the student performed during the hands-on project. This will be based on functional tests performed on the code features as well as the learner’s coding style.

A peer review will also be conducted to supplement the instructor review. That way we will obtain a more complete picture of the performance of an attendee.

Final evaluation:

At the end of the program, the instructor will provide an individual evaluation of the students to your company. This evaluation will be aligned to the success criterion agreed upon between your organization and Web Age Solutions. The final evaluation will be based on

  • the continuous evaluations provided throughout the program and
  • evaluation of the final project

If requested, it will also include a subjective evaluation of the instructor. Similar to the continuous evaluation, a peer review will be conducted also.
