This 2 day class teaches students how to manage various WebSphere issues they may encounter in their own organization.  Throughout the class students will learn about various advanced tools and techniques to help resolve problems in the configuration and operation of a WebSphere environment.  The class also provides details on the symptoms of many common WebSphere issues and how to resolve the issue.

Since many different products are based on the WebSphere Application Server, the issues and troubleshooting techniques covered in this class can be applied to many different WebSphere 7.0 environments.

Hands on labs

 

In the labs students will use various techniques to troubleshoot performance problems, application problems, and configuration problems.  Various advanced tools are demonstrated to develop and advanced capability for students to troubleshoot these types of problems in their own environments when returning to the job.

 

Audience

 

The class is meant for WebSphere administrators and support staff who are involved in maintaining a WebSphere environment and troubleshooting various issues in the configuration and operation of that environment.

 

Prerequisites

  Students should have a good understanding of the basic administration aspects of WebSphere Application Server v6.x or v7.0. The following courses can provide this experience for students who are not familiar with WebSphere administration:
