The workshop labs provide the opportunity to fully prepare a DR using transportable media as well as electronic vaulting. Both the backup and the restore are also exercised. The current lab environment is Windows based and it can be adapted to any ITSM operating environment

1. Outline
|
- This class focuses on the setup and use of the ITSM Disaster Recovery Manager to provide automated preparation of a disaster recovery plan. This feature manages media movement, documentation and executable script creation.
- The customization and administration of the DRM feature includes both server and client recovery.
- The regular backup of the server support files, the data base and the storage pools are delivered either using tapes or electronic vaulting techniques such as server-to-server communications.
- In addition techniques and products to provide infrastructure recovery are examined. This includes Microsoft Windows Automated System Recovery (ASR), Cristie Bare Machine Restore (BMR) and ITSM for System Backup and Recovery.
