If you are attending one of our online virtual courses, you should have reliable internet access and a computer that meets the computer requirements listed below.

Also, if this is the first time you have attended one of our online courses, please ensure that you have setup the required software and performed the connectivity tests listed below prior to the start of your class.

Computer Requirements

  • Dual-core 2.4GHz or faster processor
  • Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Widnows 10
  • 2GB of RAM or more
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or later, Mozilla Firefox 34 or later, or Google Chrome 39 or later. Browsers must have javascript enabled.
  • GoToMeeting desktop app.

Testing GoToMeeting

Please verify that you can connect to GoToMeeting and that your headset is working prior to the start of the class you are attending.

A headset is strongly recommended for the best audio quality. You will need both the audio and the microphone working on your headset for the class. It is also extremely important that you perform the test below using the same computer and network connectivity that you will be using while attending the class. If you do not test your connection before the class starts you may be delayed entering the class and miss some of the lecture.

Please note that we recommend the use of headsets to enable students to utilize the VOIP functionality of GoToMeeting. This is what we use for our training by default as there are no additional fees required.

The dial in numbers provided by the GoToWebinar software ARE NOT toll free and any phone charges incurred by the student are the responsibility of the student.

If for any reason you have trouble with the VOIP functionality please contact Web Age Solutions for support.

Please complete the following steps prior to your class:

  1. Make sure you are using the same computer and network connectivity that you will use to attend the class. Verify your computer meets the system requirements above.
  2. A headset must be plugged in and the audio settings on your computer must be properly configured before launching Gotomeeting. Please make sure that your headset is plugged in.
  3. Open a test session by clicking the button below.
Click the GoToMeeting button to launch a test session.
  4. This should launch the GoToMeeting application automatically. If it does not, click the link that says Download & Run GoToMeeting. Once it downloads, you will need to Run it.

You should see the window shown below. The window will indicate that you are Waiting for organizer. You can ignore that as the purpose of this test is just to verify that the software launches and is able to connect to the meeting. That and the audio tests below are sufficient for the test.

  5. Select your headset from the dropdown for the microphone (the top dropdown) and verify that when you speak into the microphone the green bar moves as you speak.
  6. Select your headset from the dropdown for the earphone (the bottom dropdown) and click the Test your sound link at the bottom of the window. Verify that you hear the audio in your headphones.
  7. Click the Stop the test link and close the GoToMeeting client.

If you have completed the steps above and no problems occured then you have successfully completed the test and should be ok for your class.

Please contact our technical support team at 877-812-8887 ext 27 or support@webagesolutions.com if you are having trouble.
