WA1516 Lab Setup Guide
Minimum Hardware Requirements
  • Pentium 4 - 2GHz or higher
  • 2GB RAM minimum.
  • 10GB free hard disk space (preferably in C: drive).
  • Network connectivity to the internet. Note: Some of the lab exercises require functioning Internet access.
Minimum Software Requirements
  • Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows XP SP2
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 (can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com)
  • WinZip (can be downloaded from http://www.winzip.com)
  • Internet Explorer 6 or Mozilla Firefox 2 (or higher)
  • Java 6 SP 5 *
  • Eclipse STP*.
  • WebSphere Business Modeler Software 6.1.1 Trial*.

* - indicates software provided by Web Age Solutions on CD.
Ghosting or Imaging Information

Java 6, Eclipse STP and WebSphere Business Modeler Software can be ghosted.

Installation

Receive the Supporting zip file by mail from Web Age Solutions.

Receive the following DVDs from Web Age Solutions:

  • WA1516 DVD containing:
    • WebSphere Business Modeler Software 6.1.1 Trial
    • Java 6 SP 5 (jre-6u5-windows-i586-p-s.exe)
    • Eclipse STP

Install and setup the software in the following order (click the software title for installation instructions):

    1. Copy the content of WA1516 DVD to C:\. This should create the c:\Software and c:\eclipse folders. Verify these folders were created.
    2. Click the link Java 6 SP 5 for installation instructions.
    3. Click the link WebSphere Business Modeler 6.1.1 for installation instructions.
    4. Unzip the Supporting zip file into C:\ This will create the C:\LabFiles folder.
