Lab Setup Guide
Minimum Hardware Requirements
  • 500MHz or faster CPU
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4GB free hard disk space
  • Ethernet or Token Ring card
  • CD-ROM drive
  • LAN Adapter
  • Network connection to the Internet
Minimum Software Requirements
  • Windows 2000
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader V4.0 or later
  • Netscape Navigator 4.7 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher
  • IBM DB2 UDB v7.2 *
  • IBM WebSphere Application Server V4.0 Advanced Edition, Single Server *
  • IBM VisualAge for Java Entry Enterprise Edition Version 4.0 *
  • WinZip 8.0 or higher
* - indicates software provided by Web Age Solutions on CD.
Installation
Note: The drive with the installation files will be referred to as drive X:, please substitute this drive letter with the appropriate CD or network drive letter.

Receive the following CD(s) from Web Age Solutions:
  • DB2 V7.2 EE
  • WAS40AES
  • VAJ V4.0
Install and setup the software in the following order (click on the software's name for its installation and setup instructions):
  1. Click the link IBM DB2 UDB v7.2 for installation.
  2. Click the link IBM WebSphere Application Server V4.0 Advanced Edition, Single Server for installation.
  3. Click the link IBM VisualAge for Java Entry Enterprise Edition Version 4.0 for instllation.
  4. From the Set Up disk, extract WA1031Lab.zip to the drive where VisualAge for Java is installed.
