WA1546 Lab Setup Guide
Minimum Hardware Requirements
  • 2GHz Pentium 4
  • 1 GB RAM minimum, 2 GB recommended
  • 6 GB disk space
  • Ethernet or Token Ring card
  • CD-ROM drive
  • Network connectivity to the internet
  • Must have LAN connectivity
Minimum Software Requirements
  • Microsoft Windows XP
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 (or higher)
  • Internet Explorer 6.0
  • WinZip 8.0 (or higher)
  • BEA WebLogic Server v9.2*
  • MySQL Server 5.0*
  • MySQL JDBC driver *
  • Apache HTTP Server v2.0.55*
* - indicates software provided by Web Age Solutions on CD.
Installation

Receive the WA1546 CD from Web Age Solutions containing:

  • BEA WebLogic Server v9.2 (server920_win32.exe)
  • MySQL JDBC driver (mysql-connector-java-3.1.12-bin.jar)
  • MySQL Server 5.0 (mysql-essential-5.0.19-win32.msi)
  • Apache2.0.55 (apache_2.0.55-win32-x86-no_ssl.exe)
Receive the supporting ZIP file from Web Age Solutions by email.

Uninstall any installation of WebLogic or the JDK already on the system.

Copy the software to the PCs:
  1. Copy the entire content of the CD to C:\Software.
  2. Unzip the Supporting zip file to local drive C:\. This should install C:\LabFiles.
