WA1430 Tivoli Infrastracture and Framework V4.1.1 Workshop - Lab Setup Guide
Minimum Hardware Requirements
  • Pentium 4 minimum
  • Intel x-86 ACPI compliant machines
  • Main Memory 1 GB minimum
  • Hard Disk 60 GB minimum
  • USB external hard-drive, or thumb drive that must be bootable. (BIOS support must be provided.)
  • One Ethernet switch/hub per learning station (three computers per Team of 2 participants: one Tivoli Server, one Tivoli Gateway and one Tivoli Endpoint.)
Minimum Software Requirements
  • Tivoli Environment Images to be restored (Supplied on request only).
  • Two ways to restore images, the first one does not use the network and the second one does:
    1. Boot Windows (Windows BartPE) on a separate media and run PQIDeploy.exe to restore each image.
    2. Use PowerQuest DeployCenter PowerCast PQPCS32.exe to multicast images to all classroom machines. Must load PQPCAST.exe on each computer in order to restore the image.
