WA1430 IBM Tivoli Infrastructure and Framework V4.1.1 Workshop

This four day course is intended for System Administrators who will be installing and tailoring the IBM Tivoli Management Framework.  It teaches the participants the fundamentals of Framework which is the core component of the Tivoli Infrastructure. Terminology, concepts and administrative functions used by Framework are fully covered. The participants get the Framework hands-on experience through numerous lab exercises

Practical work

Almost 40% of the course is dedicated to hands-on exercises. The participants will have a chance to install an Endpoint simulator, which will allow them to better understand Framework and the Infrastructure. They will create managed resources and operate a fully functional Tivoli environment.

  • Administer a fully operational Tivoli Management Region using the Command Line Interface and the GUIs.
  • Understand how to manage resources using Tivoli Framework.
  • Explain the function of the Tivoli Object Repository database.

Prerequisites
The participants should have a working knowledge of System Administration concepts. Familiarity with operating systems and networking concepts is strongly recommended.
