Workshops

Workshop 1Real World Agile and Scrum Techniques

Description: This is a half day workshop aimed at providing you with a quick overview of Agile and Scrum and then a deep dive into how actual teams in several organizations have applied these techniques on their projects. It will take you through the life cycle of an Agile project and discuss best practices and techniques used at each phase. There is a cost to using trial and error to learn Agile so why not come learn from what other teams have actually implemented?

Your instructor is a real world Agile Coach who has coached over 16 teams successfully on implementing these methods. If you’re also looking for intensive hands on workshops please see our 3 day Real World Agile and Scrum course.

Pre-requisites: Some background or familiarity with Agile and Scrum is preferred but not required.

Workshop 2 – Exploring ‘Just Enough Documentation’ of Requirements in Agile

Description: This half day workshop aims to clarify what Agile means by ‘Just Enough Documentation’ and provide the student with end to end samples of what Agile requirements actually look like. We will be exploring the topics of User Stories and best practices on identifying them, breaking them down, estimating and prioritizing them. We will also look at what Acceptance Tests and Business Rules look like. We will then take a tour of how you can use Agile Modeling methods to document requirements instead of heavy weight (and never read) stacks of documents.

Your instructor is a real world Agile Coach who has coached over 16 teams successfully on implementing these methods. If you are looking for intensive hands on workshops please see our 2 day Effective Requirements Gathering course.

Pre-requisites: Some background or familiarity with Agile and Scrum is preferred but not required.
