Web Age has significantly bolstered its courseware offering by adding about 10 new courses in the WebSphere MQ, CICS and z/OS area. These courses are targeted towards very large businesses and government agencies who use CICS and mainframe to integrate various software applications.

Two major developments happened in October. IBM announced WebSphere Application Server v6. The software is not released yet. But, here at Web Age, we are hard at working learning the new platform. We will have the v6 administration and programming course soon after the official release takes place.

This 5 day course teaches WebSphere Portal Server v5 installation, configuration, performance tuning as well as administration. Portal administration involves, creating pages, installing portlets, configuring security and other day to day operations. This course is an equivalent of IBM's PW331.

This 5 day WebSphere v5.1 Administration class is specifcally designed for the HP/UX platform. IBM currently does not have a similar course running on HP/UX. We are the only known source of the material.

This 5 day WebSphere v5.1 Administration class is specifically designed for the AIX platform. This class is equivalent to IBM's WF401.

This course is an advanced introduction to the Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) technology. The labs are done using Eclipse 3.0 and JBoss IDE 1.3.30. JBoss 3.2.3 application server is used as the server runtime.
