Happy New Year from Web Age. We are starting the new year with some exciting new course releases including the launch of our Web 2.0 curriculum, additions to our Spring classes and updates to our Java curriculum.

Service Oriented Architecture continues to grow and mature as does our curriculum in this space. This month, our Director of SOA, Kyle Gabhart is invited to speak at the Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference in San Francisco from January 28 - 30th, 2008. IBM Impact 2008 conference is slated to be one of the most interesting and diverse SOA conferences this year. Taking place in Las Vegas from April 6-April 11 it promises a wide variety of themes and presenters and features both a business and a technical track. https://www-306.ibm.com/software/websphere/events/impact2008/ . Spring Framework v2.5 is now released. Web Age is updating our curriculum to reflect this new release and welcomes feedback from all our clients regarding what they would like to see in that class. One of the most notable features is full support for Java SE 6 and Java EE 5.  By far some of the biggest changes with the new release involve the expanded support of a number of Java annotations.  For more information about the new version of Spring: http://www.infoq.com/articles/spring-2.5-part-1

Web 2.0 - We are pleased to announce the release of WA1594 Web 2.0 for Developers and
WA1592 Web 2.0 Executive Overview. With these two courses we now offer a full suite of classes to meet your Web 2.0 training needs.

WA1563 Developing J2EE Applications Using Spring Framework v2.0 and RAD 7.0

Web Age is pleased to announce the release of WA1563, Spring 2.0 on Rational Application Developer (RAD) v7.0.  This course covers many of the enhancements that were added with Spring 2.0 and uses the latest version of RAD (v7.0).  Even if you currently use RAD v6.0 you will find this course useful. 

WA1550 Servlets & JSP Development with Rational Application Developer 7.0

This class has been completely updated. Enhancements include:

  • Uses Java 5 syntax wherever possible.
  • Custom tag development chapter and labs have been updated.
  • JSTL and JSP EL chapter and lab added
  • JSF chapter and lab added
