HEADLINES AT A GLANCE

In Focus: New Spring 3.0 class released!

WA1848 – Developing Java EE Applications with Spring 3.0, JSF, and JPA Using SpringSource Tool Suite

Web Age is releasing another of the many Spring 3.0 classes we will be offering.  The newest release, WA1848, trains students how to use the latest Spring version, Spring 3.0 in combination with other popular Java standards to write standards-based Java enterprise applications.  Although the most popular combination in the past was Spring and Hibernate, modern applications should instead use Spring with JPA, the Java standard for persisting data in databases, instead of the Hibernate API.  This course covers how to use the JPA specification properly with Spring.  The course also covers using the JSF web application framework in combination with Spring.  This approach teaches students how to use Spring with the standardized Java web framework of JSF, which is becoming even more popular with the release of JSF 2.0.
In addition to learning some of the latest Java EE and Spring features, this course will show students how to use the SpringSource Tool Suite, a free Spring development environment.
We also have a version of this course that will be released with WebSphere along with several other Spring 3.0 classes available in our Spring 3.0 course category
