Stuart Smith, Web Age Application Server and Portal Administration Lead, will be presenting “A New Boss in Town” at the IBM Impact 2008 conference in Las Vegas from April 6-April. With the certification of Java EE 5 compatibility, WebSphere Community Edition v2.0 has emerged as the new “best of breed” option in the free-to-use application server market.  Several features of WAS-CE provide significant value when compared to the JBoss Application Server.  This session will demonstrate some of these differentiating features so that developers and administrators can properly leverage them to simplify application development, deployment, and administration. Kyle Gabhart, Director of SOA Solutions will present Avoiding Governance Fallacies and Pitfalls This session explores case studies from the Defense, Financial, Insurance, and Travel industries regarding Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) adoption and governance.  Lessons learned will be identified and best practices discussed with respect to governing Enterprise Architecture (EA) and SOA in particular.   3rd annual Web Services Security and SOA Conference & Expo May 12-14th, 2008 in Baltimore SOA World 2008 East in New York in June.
