This course prepares DevOps for deployment to the Amazon Web Services platform. AWS is one of the hottest technologies on the planet today. This course is architected in such a way that an authorized certification test may be taken when the student graduates.

This is a 3-day course which explores some of the more advanced aspects of the AWS platform from a DevOps point of view. Using the principal concepts and practices behind the DevOps methodology, you’ll be able to design and implement an infrastructure on AWS that supports one or more DevOps development projects. You’ll also be allowed to utilize AWS CloudFormation and OpsWorks to deploy the infrastructure necessary to create, develop, and test production environments for a software development project.

AWS CodeCommit will give you the ability to understand the array of options for enabling a continuous integration environment on AWS, and to use CodePipeline to design and implement a Continuous Integration and Delivery pipeline on AWS.

Implementation of realistic common Continuous Deployment use cases using AWS technologies, including blue/green deployment and A/B testing, you’ll be able to distinguish between the array of application deployment technologies available on AWS. These include CodeDeploy, Opsworks, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2 Container Service, and EC2 Container Registry, and then decide which technology best fits a given scenario.

Fine-tune the applications you deliver on AWS for high performance, utilizing tools and technologies to monitor your application and environment for potential issues.
